Transforming Family Scheduling with AI-Assistance

We are building a chatbot on Telegram, powered by GPT-4 to help busy parents with scheduling, budget management and other household chores.

Founders

We used to run bambino.sg together - a baby clothes subscription service in Singapore. We have since stopped operating it but it taught us a lot of lessons in running a company.

Progress

We have the working product launched on Telegram. We're actively gathering feedback from our users and trying to improve the chatbot's interaction

We started working on this 2 weeks ago. We are both working on this part time.

Idea

As a couple with background in AI and Product Management, we have always been passionate about finding innovative solutions to everyday problems. Being a parent of two young kids ourselves, we experienced firsthand the challenges busy parents face in juggling between family schedules and budgets, and our work. It was clear to us that there was a need for a smarter, more efficient solution that could help families stay organized and connected.

With our expertise in AI, we saw the opportunity to create a product that could harness the power of advanced algorithms to simplify and streamline the scheduling process. Our experience in product management allowed us to identify key features and user experiences that could truly make a difference in the lives of busy parents. Through market research and talking with fellow parents, we confirmed that there is a significant demand for a tool like HeyRoger, which could help families better manage their time and resources.

We understand that family life is dynamic, and no two families are the same. Other companies may offer generic scheduling tools or budgeting solutions, but they often lack the customization and adaptability that modern families need. At HeyRoger, we have designed our AI-powered chatbot to be highly flexible, allowing users to tailor the platform to suit their unique preferences and priorities. Additionally, we prioritize data security and privacy, ensuring that our users can trust our platform with their sensitive information.

Our deep understanding of the challenges that parents face in their day-to-day lives, combined with our extensive AI and product management expertise, has enabled us to create a truly transformative solution that addresses the core needs of our target audience.

Our primary revenue stream will be through subscription plans, offering different pricing tiers to cater to various user needs. We will also offer a free trial to attract new users and demonstrate the value that Roger can bring to their lives.

By targeting the large market of busy parents and families, we estimate that our potential annual revenue could reach $50 million within the next five years, assuming a steady growth rate and increasing market penetration. This estimate is based on capturing a significant share of the family scheduling and budgeting app market, along with potential expansion into related product offerings and additional revenue streams, such as partnerships with complementary services or referral services to local business.

Others

We used to run a sustainable baby clothes subscription service. We also briefly experimented with a salary crediting account that helps to automatically buy ETH/BTC/USDC on a monthly basis.

The amount of people older than you on earth never increases.

Curious

We believe YC brings the best community for founders support. We previously went through the YC startup school and we really learnt a lot from the program

Really cool idea. I'm myself a parent of 2 : )

Few points to strengthen YC application

  1. Describe better specific use cases or "tipping points" that could bring lots of pain in the life of busy parent so that he/she might look for help
  2. Incorporate few of those pain points into the demo so that yo can capture attention. The 30$ food spend log could be ok, but seems more a use case for a purely expense mgmt/tracking product. Seems that here the potential could be much broader and can be conveyed more powerfully
  3. Elaborate more clearly target market and sizing. 50m revenues in 5 years without explaining any high level drivers on how you came up with it is not super strong

Keep it up and good luck!
