Muhammad Mustapha currently lives in Abuja,Nigeria while Taher Muhammad lives in Dongola,Sudan and the company will be based in Port Sudan, Sudan after YC.

Founders

We met in college 2019 in Sudan's capital Khartoum and we both study in the same department
That's approximately five years now that we have known each other

Progress

A prototype of the Ajeeb Cash app is ready

A prototype of the Ajeeb Cash app is ready

By the last application, it was just an idea, now we have a prototype and are discussing regulations and compliance with the Central Bank of Sudan

Idea

When we started exploring this idea, it was clear that Sudan urgently needed a solution like Ajeeb Cash. The traditional banking system has essentially collapsed, and millions of people are left without reliable access to their funds or a functional way to conduct daily transactions.

While we don’t have direct experience running a fintech company, Muhammad Mustapha has experience from running a startup in Sudan, and Taher Muhammad brings a strong network of contacts in Sudan

Our major and only competitors are Bankak, Fawry, Ocash, MyCash and Sahil.
All our competitors have something in common which is a satisfactory customer service. Coming from a logistics company, I know firsthand how important the customers are especially in accessing their money so we are going to focus on providing the best customer experience for our users making sure that every user interaction with Ajeeb Cash is as smooth and supportive as possible.

We plan to generate revenue through transaction fees. In our first year, with an estimated 500,000 active users completing an average of 3 transactions per month at a 50 SDG commission per transaction, our projected monthly transaction volume could reach 1.5 million. This translates to a monthly revenue of 75 million SDG and an annual revenue of approximately 900 million SDG, or about $450,000 in the first year of operations

Others

Muhammad Mustapha founded a food delivery service company, Tal2a SD in Khartoum the capital of Sudan and managed to complete over 600 deliveries in less than a year before the war broke out

Curious

Witnessing the success of companies like Paystack and DoorDash, which have created impactful solutions to real-world problems, has reinforced our belief in the value of our vision. Inspired by these examples, we’re confident that applying to Y Combinator is the right step to accelerate our journey and bring our solution to life
